Bring On The Vino

I have always loved the Barefoot line of wines.  They are on the cheaper side but they never leave me with a headache and their red line is mighty tasty.  Tonight I am trying the “Sweet Red Blend”

It’s very similar to the “Sweet Red” but maybe just a tad less sweet.  I bet over some ice and a splash of club soda would make it a great little summertime spritzer.  Although it’s so hard to think about summer right now as it has been rainy and cold all day. So instead I will just pour myself another glass, put the mini monsters to bed, and have a date with my bathtub.  Bubbles and Epsom Salt and a bottle glass of wine, put the “f@%k it all” mood at bay.

  1. Pass the bottle. Ran the gauntlet today. Staring at a load and a half of laundry I have no desire to sort and fold. Just poured. Waiting for the Princess to text and let me know she’s on her way back from the studio. We’ve almost made it through the week! Cheers!

    1. You would like pink moscato…get some fresh strawberries and blueberries and a bottle of barefoot’s regular moscato or pink moscato cut the strawberries in small pieces and toss with blueberries into a glass with ice and pour on the moscato…..yummy! You can also just have moscato chilled out of the fridge 😀

      1. Hahaha! The only place I could visit on a Thursday night in my area goes by the nickname of “Shoot N Stab,” and I doubt they serve wine 😄😄

      2. My husband and I went in to hear a band a few years ago. It was very weird as we obviously didn’t fit in and got some looks.

  2. nice choice…I like Barefoot brand. also WinkingOwl from Aldi’s…it’s about as low price as it can go, but there is only one red (Merlot) and a Cabernet. My husband and I used to have “wine time” ever night, and take turns being the “wino”– silly I know but it was fun. He used to like Pinot Noir and Pinot Gregio, and Cabernet Souvignon…which is a tad too robust for me unless I’m eating something like spicy spaghetti sauce, etc.

    1. I like the red blends of pretty much any brand…most are in-between sweet and dry which is how I like my wine. I used to like the super sweet wines but have found that some of the less sweet ones are best. Thanks for sharing your little story with me …you always have such wonderful comments.
