Quote Of The Week, November 28,2015~

marriage quotes couples love relationships

I recently wrote a post entitled “Marriage Doesn’t Work On Auto-Pilot“.  Therefore I found this quote so appropriate to follow up with that post.

As a couple you should never forget why you fell in love with your spouse in the first place.  Every relationship is going to have struggles but if you just pay close attention to the needs of your partner and build from strength, then most problems can be resolved and a better understanding of the a marriage can be obtained.

The connection between two people who truly love, respect, and care for one another can never be broken.  These tools are the foundation that binds them together.

And always remember…..

  1. Communication is the best way to stay in touch with each others feelings. We’ve been married 39 years and we still make time for date night. All electronic devices are put away, the phones are turned off and we see a movie and have a great dinner. The best way to keep the home fires burning.

    1. We too always make time for date nights. Even with 4 kids (luckily one is almost 16 and old enough to babysit the 3 others who are 5 and under). We also sometimes put the kids to bed early and just catch up on whatever. All couples must communicate and reconnect. It’s very valuable. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read. 💌Trista

  2. Another fabulous quote, my friend! Both people should always do this. It keeps the spark alive in my opinion. I’m really glad you are able to do this. I think most of us get too bogged down with every day life that we forget to pay attention so this quote is a great reminder! If I ever get into another relationship, I’ll be sure to post this one to my fridge:-)

  4. This is such a great quote, in the last several years there have been many things happen in our family and it’s so easy to get caught up and forget to work on your marriage. We try to be aware of it. Especially as the kids get older, soon we will be empty nesters and it will be difficult if we don’t connect anymore!

    1. My hubby and I have never been together without kids. He had 2 boys when we met and then we had 3 more together so it will be interesting when we become empty nesters. Especially cause he wants to live somewhere like Alaska! I tell him as long as I have internet I will be fine lol.
