Monday’s~ Music Mantra November 30,2015~

I have such a love ❤️ for music that I have decided to devote my Mondays to a list of some of what I have been playing on repeat for that week.  And poof!  Monday’s Music Mantra is born.

You can always tell what kind of mood I am in or what is going on in my head by what I am listening to.

Whether I am working out, cleaning the house, taking a bath, or just wanting to get in touch with my emotions…there’s always music to fulfill those moments.

Adelle “Hello” I actually stumbled upon one morning while I was working out.  I listen to Pandora when I work out and so it plays songs randomly.  The first time I heard this song I was hooked.

Gwen Stefani “I Used To Love You” has been on my list for awhile now.  If you haven’t heard it then you must be living under a rock.  I also wrote a recent post about my thoughts on her recent divorce and cheating husband.

Hellyeah “Moth” This is a great song to run on the treadmill to.  It also makes me think of myself and how I sometimes let my mind be drawn into things that I know aren’t the real me thinking that way.

Five Finger Death Punch “Wrong Side Of Heaven” This song has been a favorite of mine for a long time but I had never watched the video.  It’s powerful.  Especially after such recent events of tragedy and what will never be laid to rest.  While we are all sitting around our holiday tables and enjoying the time with our loved ones…don’t forget those who have lost their lives and loved ones due to hatred, religion, politics, and greed.  And for the veterans who are still here and trying to live with the calamity of where they have been and what they have been through.

3 Doors Down “Let Me Be Myself”  I have been a fan of these guys for years.  I have listened to this particular song a lot lately just because I have been working hard at working on myself.

Happy Monday!

  1. OMG girl I am loving these songs! I love Adele’s song because it really hits home for me and makes me think of a friend that is no longer a friend because of the way I treated him. I didn’t appreciate him and his importance in my life so this song definitely makes me think of that! Gwen’s song is awesome and I have a confession to make: I actually didn’t hear this song before (I have been living under a rock – stuck in my own head lately). I have to download this song! Never heard of HellYeah and I love this song! Thanks for introducing me to them. I am going to listen to them now on Pandora. I love Five Finger Death Punch and I have this song but like you, I never saw the video. It made me cry! Such a powerful message behind the music! Three Doors Down is also a great band but I haven’t listened to them in years until the other day when I heard Kryptonite on the radio. Now, I am looking to download them on iTunes and add them to my pandora. I am loving your Monday Mantra so far Trista! I am thinking of starting a Monday linky called Manic Mondays, from the Bangles song but I’m not starting it until after Christmas. Gotta get through the holidays first and I haven’t figured it out yet how to run it. Sorry for the long essay! Love this post!

  2. Never heard of the HellYeah, but now I want to hop on the treadmill and run with it on! Loved that song! I’m listening to each of your selections as I spend some time blogging. I feel like I’m getting to know you on a deeper level through your music choices. I’m so glad to be your friend, Trista. ❤
