Quote Of The Week ~ March 13, 2014

Success has never been made from someone just sitting on their butt.  Well maybe there have been a few but personally I would like to achieve success by getting up and taking control of it. Working for it.  And being proud of myself when I’ve accomplished it.

I may be a stay at home mom, but you won’t catch me just sitting around on my butt very much.  That’s not to say that I don’t have designated lazy days but lately they are becoming less frequent.

I am linking this post with the fabulous quote linky….

  1. That is a great quote Trista! I agree, even though right now my head is spinning and my energy is completely drained, and the bed is calling to me, when I’m functioning right, I agree that nothing in this life is worth having if you haven’t worked for it. It gives a sense of pride accomplishing something that otherwise wouldn’t get done had I not put my best effort into:) #candidcuddles

    1. I’m like you Michelle…I too have highs and lows. Last year really had lows. But since getting my shape back and working out (which some days I have to force like today) I’m having more highs. I’m always here if you need an ear to listen.

      1. Thank you Trista! I appreciate that! I’m having a decent day today but I’m just taking care of my son today. He has Bronkitis not Pnemonia which is good. Hopefully tomorrow will be even better. I have to get back into the working out. The last couple of weeks have been rough with that and I think that’s playing into my stress level.

  2. Amen, I think most people hear I stay at home and assume I sit around all day. I am busier now that I am home than when I was working. You won’t catch me sitting around, even when I want to. Great quote thanks for sharing #candidcuddles

  3. I have been sitting on my butt too much lately! Partly because I tore my meniscus last week but partly because I have been in my escape mode! Yikes! Gotta get moving, but gotta get this knee thing taken care of! Loved the post! I needed that!

      1. I am getting an MRI tomorrow. I am using it as an excuse though, I must admit. Trying to get my act together and hope to return to the land of blogging. I really DO enjoy it and connecting with others, not to mention it’s cheaper than therapy! 🙂

      2. Yes I agree! Blogging really saved me after moving away from a life I had built for over 20 years to a town of only 6,000 people where if you didn’t grow up here, it’s really hard fitting in. It amazes me daily that I talk to and have built friendships all over the world but haven’t spoken to my neighbor in the 2 years we have lived here.
