SB’s Questions

When was the last time you did something kind and what was it?

I think it’s important to show kindness everyday…even if it’s as simple as holding a door for someone.

Your most beautiful childhood memory?

Swimming.  I loved water and still do.

Pizza or pasta?

Man this is a tough one!  I’d have to say pizza wins.  Who doesn’t love some bread piled with sauce, cheese, meat, and veggies?  Well except maybe a vegetarian.

Why do mother’s need coffee and wine?

Coffee is to keep us mommies awake, which in turn, keeps the kids alive and wine is to help the coffee wear off in order to sleep!  Wine is also a necessity for sanity for me.

Do you have a pet and if yes, what kind of pet?

We have a German Shepard named Roxy.  She is the best dog that I have ever owned…and I have always had a dog all my life.

What invention do you think the world would need and what stops you from inventing it?

A drug to make everyone happy.  I think there are so many of us who suffer from turmoil and sadness.  I’m not a scientist and I don’t see me becoming one in the future.

What’s the secret of life?

Humor!  I think everyone needs a good laugh everyday!

What question would you ask the president of the United States if you would have a one-on-one with him?

What the fuck heck are you doing?  Seriously. I am not much of a political person though, therefore I won’t even discuss politics or religion with most people.

What would be your solution for world peace?

To do away with greed.  I think greed causes a lot of people to become abnormally psycho problems.

What are you cooking for dinner?

Do leftovers count?

Susan’s Questions

Did you enjoy school?

Nope.  I hated school.  I feel that high school teaches you nothing to prepare you for the “real” world.

What is the saying you despise the most?

Is it snack time?  Drives me CRAZY!

What is your most treasured possession?

Memories.  And a ring that my late grandma owned.  There’s a long story to it.

How do you spend a typical Saturday night?

Preferably sleeping 😆

Name 3 things you are really good at and 3 things you are really bad at. Good:

  1. Friendship
  2. Honesty
  3. Bitching Speaking my mind

Bad:

  1. Being a housewife homemaker
  2. Communicating my feelings…unless of course it’s bitching.
  3. Baking.  Love to cook but could burn boxed brownies.

Do you care what others think of you?

Only those who are really close to me.  The ones who truly matter.

What is your favorite movie and why?

I would have to go with my childhood favorite of “Flashdance”.  I used to watch it everyday and it inspired me to never give up on dreams.

What is the worst movie you have ever seen?

This one’s so easy….”Cyrus”!!!  Worst movie ever!!!

What was the last thing you ate?

Sunflower seeds.  Have you tried the Spitz Spicy Sweet Chili yet?  Well get your ass to the store and get some!

Do you believe in aliens? Why or why not?

I do believe that there is no possible way that we could be the only life form in the entire universe.  There is just so much “unknown” out there.

Debbie’s Questions

1. If you were given the chance to go walk on the moon would you do it?

I don’t think I could leave my family and veer off into space.  Too many things can and have happened on that adventure.  Before I had kids the answer would have been HELL YES!

2. Camping by a beautiful waterfall, in a pretty wood with gorgeous weather, or 5* luxury accommodation with terrible weather?

Camping!  I could really care less about luxury.  Sure it’s nice but highly overpriced and overrated.  Give me the great outdoors and some beautiful scenery and a beer and I am golden.

3. Which is your favourite social networking site and why?

Have to go with Facebook.  I know it’s a cliche but I have stuck to a rule of I only have people on my personal Facebook that I actually know or have had an actual conversation with.

4. Beer or wine?

I have to make a choice?  I used to be a huge beer drinker but lately I am more of a wine connoisseur.  I love trying different brands of reds.  You can read about some of my wine reviews here.

5. Which item(s) can you never leave the house without?

  1. My clothes
  2. My phone
  3. My glasses
  4. My purse
  5. My mind…although I leave that sucker everywhere.

6. If you had to take part in a reality TV show, which would it be and why?

“The Amazing Race”  I think my husband and I would rock that show.  We travel well together and don’t crack under pressure.  We do however have a tendency to become…shall we say….smart asses.  We both think we are right which can cause slight yelling in public arguments.  But hey that’s great for television right?

7. If every job had the same salary, which job would you choose?

This is a great question Debbie.  I love being a mom.  But if I wasn’t a mom I would have to go with flower deliverer.  People are always smiling when they get a delivery of flowers.

8. Would you rather: write a terrible blog post and have it go viral or write an amazing blog post and only have 10 people read it?

Oh let’s be honest here…of course I would want any post to go viral.

9. If you could be known for one thing, what would it be?

The difference I made in the lives of my children.  A good mother, wife, friend.  A good person in general.  I have done a lot of wrong in my past and now I just want to make my life right by doing right by the people I love.

10. If you could change you’re first name would you? If yes, what would you choose to be called?

Nope.  I love my name and thank my mommy for giving me a “not so ordinary” name.

My 7 nominees are as follows:

Kelly at Yes Peas Mumma – Love her sarcastic side of motherhood.

Tayla at Motherhood The Real Deal – She doesn’t sugar coat anything and has become a good friend in the blogging world.

Becky at Cuddle Fairy – Her positivity is contagious.  Not only is she my co-host for #foodpornthursdays but she has become a friend that I hope to keep for a lifetime.

Emma’s Mamma – I have enjoyed reading about her musings as a mommy.  She has also always been a great support to me in the blogosphere.

Prabs at Absolutely Prabulous– This woman is a hoot!  Need I say more?

Coco at My Tales From The Crib – This girl makes me laugh and has proven to be a great asset to my circle of blogging friends.

Sammy and Emma at Hand Bags And Snot Rags – Great blog about being mums…written my mums.  They also host a wonderful linky entitled #snotallaboutyou.

My 10 questions for my nominees:

  1. How did you come up with your blog name?
  2. How old were you when you had your first child?
  3. If you could write about any topic, and not get an outpour of negativity from it…what would it be?
  4. What is your favorite time of day?
  5. Coffee, tea, or energy drink?
  6. Favorite booze cocktail?
  7. Describe the perfect mate?
  8. Morning person or night owl?
  9. Life full of good health or true love?
  10. If you could start your life over with the knowledge you have now, what’s the one thing you would do differently?

Thanks again to the lovely ladies who nominated me,

The Versatile Blogger Award

           The Versatile Blogger

I want to thank the ever so thoughtful Debbie at Random Musings for nominating me for this award.  It is always so nice to be recognized by my fellow bloggers and all their #bloggerlove!  If you haven’t had a chance to visit with Debbie and her musings, please do, you won’t be disappointed.  I also apologize to Debbie for this taking me so long to accept and complete!

To accept the award, I have to:

1. Thank the person who nominated me (this goes without saying, how rude would it be to not thank someone who nominates you for an award!).
2. List 7 random facts about me.
3. Nominate 5 other bloggers for the award.

For seven facts about me you can click here and see 10!

And my nominees are as follows:

Flip Flops Everyday – Sandi makes me laugh out loud daily and truly blogs because she likes blogging and for no other reason.

The Domesticated Goddess – Nicole is a bit of a newbie to the blogging world but she has fit right in like a glove.

My Middle Name Is Sarcasm – Christie has a wonderful sarcastic wit about her that will keep you giggling with every post.  She also has another blog that she runs with a more serious side to life, not sure if she wants all to know that though so I won’t be the one to let her cat out of the bag.

My Tales From The Crib – Colleen is absolutely full of hilarity and will keep you cackling, snickering, and even twittering around every corner.

New World Mom – Darla is quite the comic.  She likes to tell all with a side of wine and her scoffing.  She could be my neighbor…and I would love her!

Enjoy!

The Blog Tour Award

blog-tour-award-23-3-15

I thoroughly enjoy receiving these awards.  They can sometimes be time consuming but it is so nice to be thought of by my fellow bloggers.  I want to especially thank But I Smile Anyway for this recognition.  She is a “newbie” blogger but has become quite a “catch”!

There are a few rules here :
1. Pass the tour on up to four other bloggers.
2. Give them the rules and a specific Monday to post.
3. Answer four questions about your creative process which lets other bloggers and visitors know what inspires you to do what you do.

Q1. What I’m working on at the moment?
Q2. How does my work differ from others in my Genre?
Q3. Why do I write or create what I do?
Q4. How does my writing/creative process work?

4. Compose a one time post on a specific Monday( date given by your nominator).

What I’m working on at the moment?

A 30 day writing challenge and about a half dozen unfinished drafts.  I always have several drafts that I start but then a writing boulder gets in my way and since I don’t have a piece of heavy equipment around to shift it, I move onto my next thought.  Guess when it comes to writing you could say I have ADD.  I am that way with cleaning the house too.

How does my work differ from others in my Genre?

I have never really considered myself as being part of a Genre.  I write about pretty much whatever comes to my crazy and chaotic mind.  Granted that usually has a lot to do with being the queen mom to 5 kids and a trophy wife to my onerous brilliant husband.  If I am feeling passionate about something one day…such as this then I write it about it.  I also like taking a lot of pictures.  So some days I like showcasing some of my work like this or this.

Why do I write or create what I do?

The funny thing about blogging for me is that the idea had never crossed my mind.  I enjoyed “creative writing” in high school and always received high marks for my written pieces of a teenage mind, but as an adult just never continued.  Then sometime last year I was cracking jokes and talking about myself in the third person on an internet game chat room and someone mentioned that I should blog.  **places light bulb above her head**  Once the idea was placed in my head…I ran with it.   I enjoy writing about the musings of my life and if someone actually enjoys what I have to say then that is just a bonus!  As a stay at home mom we often times get lost in taking on the role of “domesticated queen” and no one but the immediate household occupants to listen to our rants.  And quite frankly I don’t think anyone in my house truly listens to me therefore upon finding the blogging world I feel like I am apart of something.  I have become fascinated with all that exists in a place I had never thought of venturing.

How does my writing/creative process work?

Is there a process?  Pretty much I spend about 20% of my blogging time actually blogging and the other 80% trying to read and comment on others blogs and social media.  I believe in supporting my fellow bloggers in the blogging world which is why I also have a weekly top 5 of blogs I enjoyed most during the week.

My nominees are as follows:

Coffee Break Blogger

Blogging For Therapy

Mommy Drinks Wine And Swears

Yellow Fever

I was supposed to have posted this yesterday but it was quite the busy day for me and not much time for blogging.  If the 4 blogs I have mentioned would like to participate my post date for you will be Monday April 13.  Please don’t feel like you must participate as I know how time consuming these awards can sometimes be.

Thankyou,
